Bibby Wing Extension
Executed as a four-story extension at an operational hospital, this project transformed an existing single-story facility into a modern healthcare complex without disrupting essential medical services. The project comprised of general male and female wards, semi-private and deluxe wards, maternity facilities, and state-of-the-art physiotherapy and oncology departments, all finished to meet the demanding requirements of a healthcare environment. The extension required extensive temporary underpinning, propping and support of the existing structure to facilitate the construction of new foundations, columns, and upper floors while preserving the original ground floor. Throughout the project, stringent health and safety measures and continuous coordination with hospital operations ensured that construction activities were carried out safely within a live healthcare environment.
Modular Operating Theatres
The construction of these modular operating theatres introduced one of Mombasa’s most advanced surgical facilities, purpose-built to meet the exacting standards of modern healthcare environments. The project comprised fully integrated modular operating theatres and dedicated surgical support areas. Delivering the works within an operational hospital required meticulous planning, and careful coordination to minimize disruption to ongoing medical services. The completed facility reflects the successful execution of a highly specialized healthcare project requiring exceptional precision, technical coordination, and quality workmanship.
